ABOUT THE BEAN

From the highlands of Sidamo comes this beautifully balanced Ethiopia Ako, a coffee that feels both comforting and quietly complex. In the cup you will find a caramel sweetness layered with sugarcane-like clarity, followed by a gentle blackberry jam finish and a refreshing hint of mint that lingers on the palate. Smooth yet expressive, it carries a delicate body that makes every sip feel refined whether enjoyed as espresso or a slow, thoughtful pour over.

FARM STORY

Grown in the elevated landscapes of Ethiopia, the cherries for this Ako lot are cultivated at 2300 m.a.s.l above sea level where cooler temperatures slow the ripening process. This patient growth allows the beans to draw deeper nutrients from the soil, building layered sweetness and a more structured flavour profile. Harvested between October and January, these highland coffees reflect the classic elegance Sidamo is known for, showcasing a harmony of sweetness, gentle fruit and a clean, composed finish that speaks of careful cultivation and thoughtful processing.
