FARM STORY

This coffee comes from the historic Finca Medina, established in 1842 and nestled between three volcanoes in San Lorenzo el Cubo, Guatemala’s Antigua region. The farm combines centuries of agricultural tradition with modern sustainable practices, earning Rainforest Alliance certification. The cherries are carefully harvested and processed using the black honey method, one of the most complex and time-intensive methods in specialty coffee. By allowing the cherries’ mucilage to ferment and dry slowly, Finca Medina brings out exceptional sweetness, rich fruity flavors, and layered complexity in every bean. The volcanic soils, high elevation, and meticulous care from the farm’s team result in a coffee that tells the story of dedication, craft, and the unique character of Antigua’s highlands.
