FARM STORY

High in Kenya’s highlands, smallholder farmers tend tiny plots of coffee, sometimes just a fraction of a hectare, alongside other crops, caring for each tree with meticulous attention. Their cherries are brought to the Muthigi-ini Factory of the Rama Farmers Cooperative Society, where they are carefully sorted, weighed, and processed together to create a micro-lot of exceptional quality. This Kenya AA blend brings together the legendary SL-28 and SL-34 varieties, developed by Scot Laboratories in the 1930s for their vibrant, juicy character, with Ruiru 11, a resilient variety that adds balance and complexity. Every cup tells the story of these farmers, their land, and the care that transforms tiny cherries into a coffee that carries the essence of Kenya’s highland farms.
